This months Ipsy Glambag finally arrived. I love having a little surprise mailed to me every month it is so much fun. Octobers “Alter Ego” themed bag came in a gorgeous cosmetic bag that is gold on one side and black on the other. I love gold so this made me happy right of the start. At first glance inside the bag I got a eye shadow brush, eye shadow, lotion, perfume and lipstick. So far so good I like these products and use them regularly.
Ipsy is a $10/month makeup subscription service that sends you deluxe samples of products they think you may like and decide what to send you using your profile questionnaire. Ipsy is a great way to trial new and different products without having to commit to a product by having to actually purchase a full size version of it. This way if you do like it you can now purchase it and usually Ipsy has a discount code for the products in your bag which is a nice plus. I don’t always love everything in the bag but I still feel like it is well worth the $10/month. Order your very own here!
Lets take a closer look inside the October Glambag.
Royal & Langnickel Medium eye shadow brush is so soft but precise. I am really liking this brand so far and I am actually shopping for a whole new brush set soon. Royal & Langnickel brushes are beautiful and soft but very well made. most of all they are very affordable for a 12 pc set of makeup brushes is only $59.00. You can check them out here.
BWC (Beauty Without Cruelty) Body Lotion. This lotion sells for 11.95 for a 16 oz bottle, a 2 oz bottle is what i got in my bag this month. It is 100% vegan and cruelty free. The founder is a life long animal welfare activist. Seems to be a decent body lotion, not sure if it is a must have though honestly. you can buy it here.
Pure Vanilla by Lavanila. This perfume is beautiful. Its smells so good. This little sample bottle is bigger than most samples and has a roll on top. This grown up vanilla scent sells for $58 for a 50 ml bottle. I really am loving this perfume. It is so sweetly scented, very light and feminine. This perfume is a great everyday scent and can be wore any wheres without being over powering. I love that it smells like perfume not cookies. You can buy it here.
Meet Matt(e) Hughes Liquid Lipstick from The Balm. I got the lipstick I the shade committed. I really like the color and it has a nice soothing vanilla mint scent This lipstick dries on so nice its doesn’t smudge easily. Adding gloss on top of the color really makes it pop so well. I am very happy with this brand and can see more purchases from them in the future. A full size version of this lipstick here for $17.
Cream Eye Shadow in Bronze from MICA Beauty. This eye shadow cream is so pigmented I LOVE it. It bares many resemblances to one of my favorite MAC. cream shadow in Indianwood. I love golds and bronze tones on my eyes. I have dark brown eyes and I feel like it works so well with some pinks and browns. I would like to try more colors from this company, especially since you can buy it for $14.95 compared to MAC’s $26.00 a shadow. you can buy it here.
