As we settle in to our new rental I am taking this opportunity to redecorate. Starting with our bedroom seemed to be the obvious choice. Glen and I are finally officially living together!! Eekk! We am very excited! I wanted us to have a beautiful bedroom but we already have so much furniture it didn’t seem to make sense to buy a brand new set. Instead we decided that I would just give the ones we already had a face lift. so this post is about the tall dresser. This dresser is a dark black, marked up dresser with no handles just strings in the handle holes.

It really isn’t in that bad of shape for a $20 flea market find. I’m just not a fan of the color and it definitely needed new handles.

I finally chose a glossy Ivory Cream for the color of the dresser. I am going to spray paint the dresser with Krylon Dual Paint + Primer Spray Paint. it claims no sanding no priming so i didn’t do either. I sprayed 2 coats right over the black paint and it turned out great.20150829_180324First coat of paint on and starting to look great. While this dried, in between coats I took the handles I got for 2.19 a piece and spray painted them gold with Krylon Metallic Spray Paint in Gold. I amĀ obsessed with how they turned out.

White and Gold is my new favorite combo it is so chic and clean. I love gold as an accent so loved replacing my poilshed nickel accents with soft gold just feel like it adds so much character.

I’m in LOVE with the soft gold and so so so happy with how this turned out!

This is the Paint I used. (Also it took 3 cans of the Ivory at 7.99 a piece) Up next will be the night stands and my shoe shelf to make it a matching set. I am Already so excited about our new bedroom. This makeover is making me oh so happy.
