How To Make A Christmas Ornament Wreath.
I LOVE Metallic’s and Sparkles, This may be my favorite project yet.

Christmas Wreath

I was looking to buy new wreath for the holiday season this year. After seeing how expensive they were retail, I decided to try and make my own. I’m so glad I did because it was so simple and only cost me a fraction of what it would have to buy one in the store, and It is Beautiful.

Now I am in the process of making a few more to give as gifts this year. There are endless combinations and inspirations for this little project. I want to do so many in other color schemes. I’m working on a couple in more traditional holiday colors now. I love the colors I for this one, the metallic and the mint green and the copper , oh my!

So lets get started. First you will need lots of ornaments I used about 100 or so, in several different sizes. I got these ones on sale at Micheal’s, Walmart and the Dollar Store. I used a wire wreath wrapped in fabric but you could use many other kinds of wreaths such as Styrofoam or wicker. You will also need a glue gun with lots of glue sticks (not kidding lots of glue). I also used some ribbon to make a hanger.

Wreath Step 1

After I wrapped the wire wreath, Start to glue the ornaments to the inside of the wreath. I made sure to glue the balls on with the metal top to the inside so it would kind of stay hidden.

wreath step 2

Then do the same with the outside and start to add the ornaments all the way around.

Now just start glueing. Its time to start covering the wreath with ornaments. start with the bigger ones and the fill in the gaps with the smaller ones. Be brave, I made mine look weird a few times i just peeled off the glue and tried again and some how I made it work.

After all that. this project only took me about and hour
(minus running out of glue and having to travel 25 mins to get more).
I am absolutely in love with how this wreath turned out. I see so many more in my future.

I’m so glad you are here. Enjoy!

p.s Tried to comment on your post about turning 30 but I couldn’t find the comment box so I will write it here instead..! This is a great post and looks like you learned a lot in your 20s. I am 24 so still feel like I have a lot to learn before I feel like I know exactly what this life thing is all about. Hope you had a wonderful birthday xx #Anythinggoes

  3. This is beautiful, you make it look so easy. I love glass ornaments, we still don’t hang many on the tree with 3 boys in the house but I put them in a hurricane vase on the dining table to bring some sparkle. Thanks for sharing with Small Victories Sunday Linkup. Pinning to our linkup board and hope you found some great posts to visit this week!

  4. Hi, I am glad I found you. I too have a cup of coffee in my hand. Sometimes I actually make a pot at night and drink it, hot and iced. I am 79 and have read and reread Harry Potter books since they were first published. I love the metallic wreath, and will try to collect items to make it. Thanks, Patricia
